This album SBT 1133 features recordings from London Abbey Studio No. 1 and range from 1961 - 1967. John Ogdon is one of music's tragic figures, another of the many talented pianists whose nervous and mental illnesses deprived us of a great talent. This recording was made by Ogdon because of the upcoming centenary of Liszt's death in 1986, and remains a valuable musical document of inestimable historic and artistic value. So, I recommend wholeheartedly the adqusisicion this album.
