I Want Love" is a 2001 song by Elton John, co-written with Bernie Taupin. It was released as a single from his Songs from the West Coast album. The song reached the top ten in Canada and the United Kingdom. In the US, "I Want Love" reached No. 110 on the Billboard Hot 100's "Bubbling Under" chart and number six on the Adult Contemporary chart. The song also featured in an advert for Royal Mail, in which John starred.

The modified Rankin Scale (mRS) is a commonly used scale for measuring the degree of disability or dependence in the daily activities of people who have suffered a stroke or other causes of neurological disability. The scale was originally introduced in 1957 by Dr. John Rankin of Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland, and then modified to its currently accepted form by Prof.

Rampant is the fifth studio album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released in 1974. It was the third of their LP albums to be produced by Roger Glover, and proved to be the last time they would work with him. All lyrics written by Pete Agnew, Manny Charlton, Dan McCafferty, Darrell Sweet unless otherwise noted. Salvo Records released a version in 2010 with the following bonus tracks: Dan McCafferty - vocals, photography. Pete Agnew - bass guitar, guitar, background vocals, liner notes.

John Prine is the first album by American country/folk singer-songwriter John Prine, issued by Atlantic Records in 1971. In 2003, the album was ranked number 452 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

On April 3, 2007, they announced their breakup, and played their final show on May 27, 2007 in their hometown of Santa Cruz, California at The Catalyst. This show was recorded and released as, Remain in Memory - The Final Show. All of the members currently play in other projects: Pabich and Sellers in Outlie, Platt in I Want Out, and Rankin in Only Crime. Sellers also plays drums in Celtic punk band, The Real McKenzies. The band have been influential with their combination of Skate Punk and 80s Hardcore Punk, influencing bands such as Phinius Gage and No Trigger. According to Russ Rankin, Good Riddance plans to enter the studio in the fall of 2014 to begin recording a new album. Peace In Our Time was eventually released in April 2015.

Hair of the Dog was released in April 1975 and was produced by Manny Charlton, ending Roger Glover's association with the band. The title track of that album (popularly, though incorrectly, known as "Son of a Bitch" due to its hook lyric) became a staple of 1970s rock radio. The American version of the album included a song originally recorded by The Everly Brothers, the melodic Boudleaux Bryant-penned ballad "Love Hurts", that was released as a hit single in the UK and in the US, where it went platinum  .

An idea for a novel that started as one situation and has blossomed into a whole plot. I’ve not written any of it yet, but it’s all there in my head from page one to circa page 250’ (Ian writing in his diary 19th March 1985). The character of Detective John Rebus – complete with estranged wife, young daughter and fragile sanity – seemed to spring fully formed from young English Literature graduate Ian Rankin as he sat in his bedsit in Arden Street, Edinburgh in March 1985. The book’s title Knots & Crosses came first, with the detective’s name coming out of that.

1974 Reinforcing his anti-establishment beliefs, the US denies renewal of John Lennon's visa based on a drug possession conviction in England four years earlier. The matter is sorted out and an international incident averted. 2008 Billy Joel plays the "Last Play at Shea" concert - the final show before Shea Stadium is closed down. 1980 Closer, the second and final album from Joy Division, is released just two months after the suicide of founding member and singer Ian Curtis. Its claustrophobic, synth-laden sound, combined with Curtis's nihilistic lyrics make it a defining moment in England's post-punk scene.
