The Grateful Dead is the debut album of the Grateful Dead. It was released by Warner Bros. Records in March 1967. According to the biographies of both bassist Phil Lesh and drummer Bill Kreutzmann, the band released the album as San Francisco's Grateful Dead. The album was primarily recorded at RCA's Studio A, in Los Angeles, in only four days. The band had wanted to record the tracks in their hometown of San Francisco, but no recording studios in the area had modernized equipment at the time

The Grateful Dead have a large legacy of recorded work that only continues to grow - you've heard about that 73 CD 'Europe '72' box set, right? It's a lot to consider, so to celebrate the late great Jerry Garcia's birthday (Aug. 1), we decided to narrow it down to this list of the Top 10 Grateful Dead Albums: 10. 'Dylan And The Dead'. Two years after Bob Dylan and The Grateful Dead teamed up for a stadium tour in 1987, this live album, 'Dylan And The Dead' was released, collecting performances from the tour.
Nude is the fourth studio album by Dead or Alive, released in 1988 on Epic Records. The band lost their foothold in the UK and . charts with this album, but it proved to be a massive success in Japan, where "Turn Around and Count 2 Ten" spent seventeen weeks at number one. "Come Home (With Me Baby)" also topped the . Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Much like their greatest hits package Rip It Up, the songs on Nude run together with no spaces in between to create a non-stop DJ-mix type presentation.
Yesterday the Grateful Dead arrived in New York to play nine sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden. If I knew what made us popular, I'd bottle it," one of the group's leaders, the guitarist Jerry Garcia, said in a telephone interview. Part of the Grateful Dead experience is its audience. People sliding in from a hard day on Wall Street sit next to people two generations younger in tie-dye whose glazed eyes don't come from staring at a computer all day and who have been following the tour, showing up at every concert. The other album, "Jerry Garcia/David Grisman" (Acoustic Disc), is a series of acoustic pieces by Mr. Garcia and his old mandolinist friend, David Grisman.
Dead Alive is the fourth album by the Christian metal band, Soul Embraced. It is the first and last album to feature rhythm guitarist Devin Castle, and the last to feature drummer Lance Garvin. Giving the album an eight out of ten from Cross Rhythms, Peter John Willoughby states, "The lyrics are bound to unsettle, but you have to bear in mind that this is for the death metal scene and will not be suitable for an impressionable young teenager.
The Grateful Dead's fourth title was likewise their first extended concert recording. Spread over two LPs, Live/Dead (1969) finally was able to relay the intrinsic sonic magnificence of a Dead show in real time. Additionally, it unleashed several key entries into their repertoire, including the sidelong epic and Deadhead anthem"Dark Star" as well as wailing and otherwise electrified acidic covers of the Rev. Gary Davis blues standard "Death Don't Have No Mercy" and the R&B rave-up "(Turn on Your) Lovelight
