Maximilien Robespierre was born on the 6th May in 1758, Arras, and was educated in Paris, eventually becoming a lawyer, as his father was. However, at 14 he was without parents, as his mother had died when he was very young, and his dad ran away at his early teenage years. Robespierre however became a popular lawyer, helping poor people in. their defence cases; and he was in this reasonably quiet period of his life for nine years from 1780 to 1789
