Free Country is an album by the American jazz guitarist and arranger Joel Harrison released in June 2003. It consists of jazz interpretations of country and folk songs. The album contains musical contributions from David Binney, Uri Caine and, as a guest vocalist, Norah Jones. Joel Harrison, a 25 year old singer/songwriter from regional Australia is an artist who blends a vast range of influences including Pop, Surf, Rock and Country into songs that describe and invite listeners into the personal moments and emotions of the mature singer songwriter’s life.
