A Quiet Storm is the 1975 third solo album by American soul singer, songwriter, and producer Smokey Robinson. This is one of the most highly acclaimed soul albums of the 1970s. A longtime innovator at Motown, Robinson responded to the Funk revolution in black music (Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Sly Stone, Curtis Mayfield, Al Green) with an effective counterpoint: the stylish and mature album, "A Quiet Storm"
Ilene Adar grew up in the Washington, DC area and began playing guitar as a teenager. Her early influences were Joni Mitchell and Bonnie Raitt, women who combine emotional honesty with riveting musicality in their songwriting and performances. She kept her music as a private source of pleasure and solace, though, and instead began her professional career as a visual artist, focusing her work on freeing her creativity. After the death of her brother and birth of her daughter she felt moved to tell personal and universal stories in a way that only music could express
The Coming Storm is the fifth studio album by British electronic group Freestylers. The album was released on 10 June 2013, almost seven years after their last. It is their first full-length release through the Black Hole Recordings subsidiary Rub-A-Duck. It is also one of their first projects with Chris Bishop from Stereo:Type, the new addition to their production team.
