Alice Cooper - Along Came A Spider (2008).

Along Came a Spider is a 2001 American neo noir psychological thriller film directed by Lee Tamahori. The screenplay by Marc Moss was adapted from the 1993 novel of the same title by James Patterson, but many of the key plot elements of the book were controversially eliminated.

In 1990, Jerry Goldsmith received critical acclaim for his score to the romantic drama The Russia House, which featured a unique mixture of Russian music and jazz to complement the nationalities and characteristics of the two main characters. He also composed critically acclaimed music for the 1990 science fiction action film Total Recall, which Goldsmith later regarded as one of his best Concert works. Toccata for Solo Guitar.

Along Came A Spider is a decent score by the veteran composer Jerry Goldsmith. The score sounds great in the film, but as a work all by itself, is not as good as I had hoped. Metallic electronic noises are featured in the first and last tracks, which I guess represent a spider, because they kind of sound like one. A soft piano and string passage is present in the last track "Not My Partner", which shows Goldsmith trying to give us a big finale, but nothing really exciting happens.

Along Came a Spider was due for a 2007 release but problems with producer scheduling and tour commitments caused it to be pushed to mid-2008. Several demos and songs were prepared and short-listed during 2007 with further sessions for recording and writing taking place in February 2008. 75% of the album had been completed as of April 18, 2008 Reception.

Along Came A Spider has emerged as one of today's leading underground touring acts as toured through markets in 30 states and have regionally supported nearly every band in their genre.

A pristine spider sits on her web, she awaits company. She moves with purpose and poise as she arranges her surroundings for things to come. She feels a tinge of movement, her instincts tell her what is about to happen, the future brushes against her skin. She must beguile her prey to come closer, to engage. She needs it to be closer, close enough to feel, close enough to touch. She moves with purpose, hesitation is missed opportunity and missed opportunity means she will go hungry; unfulfilled.
