our family portrait, we look pretty happy (Can we work it out? Can we be a family?) We look pretty normal, let’s go back to that (I promise I’ll be better, Mommy, I’ll do anything) In our family portrait

A family portrait freezes this moment in tim. o she and her family can look back upon it with fond memories. Recently we completed an album full of wonderful family portraits for Hijab and her family. I think, as they say, these pictures say a thousand words. Can you picture her husband showing this album proudly to his parent. eeling immense pride that this is his family? Can you picture the children looking at this albu. eeling especially happy that their parents provide them wit. he playfulness that they have with each other? Can you picture the grand-parents looking through the album and consequently feeling pride?

Family Portrait took over two years to make, working 20 hour days, and countless revisions. I tried to be careful with every single sound he explains, Trying new things, making a bit more of an explosive sound. Every time I went to make music the things which would really grab me are the emotional things, and while I’m in that place I felt I could really focus on the track. That was a massive part of this album, tapping into my emotion. nto my emotional instability. Stream Family Portrait below.

Family Portrait" is a song recorded by P!nk for her second studio album M!ssundaztood (2001). Co-written by P!nk and Scott Storch, and produced by the latter, the song is about relationships and her family that was about to fall to pieces, portraying the conflict through the eyes of her as a child. It was released as the album's fourth and final single in December 2002. It peaked in the top 20 in both the UK and US.

Family Portrait is his proper debut full-length, and it builds on past successes like the viral hit "Talk to Me You'll Understand" and The Outsiders (a double EP so good that it could've easily passed as a proper album), introducing new levels of complexity and emotional depth to his sound. Like his older releases, this one favors grainy textures and sentimental vocal samples, but the beats are more broken this time out, drawing from electro and new wave rather than just the evenly paced pulse of house.
