We camp right across from the large meadow and enjoyed watching the elk graze their every night. Convenient and easy walk over to the park and ride which will take you to great trail heads and Estes Park. We live close by, but decided to go up to the park for better viewing of the Persiod Meteor Shower. Good all around experience. Have the parks pass got us breezing through to get in, past long line of cars.

I now live in Denver, but when I go home and see that ski jump I always think of the line in Rocky Mountain High, "Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more more people, more scars upon the land.
