If You Have Ghost is the first EP by the band Ghost. It was produced by Dave Grohl and released on November 20, 2013. Four of the five tracks are covers. The fifth is a live recording of Ghost’s own Secular Haze from the band’s July 28, 2013 performance at Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York City

Ghost is one of the most unique and talented bands to come out of this decade. They are my type of band for their horror theatrics, early rockGhost is one of the most unique and talented bands to come out of this decade. They are my type of band for their horror theatrics, early rock influence, and overall an fresh style that sets them apart from most bands. With that being said, this album is a huge step back for Ghost. To me the tracks almost come across as insultingly lazy. I rather be Crucified than have to listen to this again. If You Have Ghosts work in high regard this album should not phase your love for this very experimental and campy ban; However, I have to be honest and so do you! This is absolutely terrible and it belongs to the pits of hell often described in their lyrics. It's Monster Mash campy and soft enough to make them the opening act for the Hex Girls in Scooby Doo.

If You Have Ghost (2013) by Ghost. Labels: Universal Music. Songs: If You Have Ghosts (Roky Erickson cover), I'm a Marionette (ABBA cover), Crucified (Army of Lovers cover), Waiting for the Night (Depeche Mode cover), Secular Haze (live). Members: Papa Emeritus II, Dave Grohl.

They did something that hardly any band does, especially this early in their career. They released a covers album of pop songs. Pop music, the genre that metalheads typically despise. So much could have gone wrong. Each song on If You Have Ghosts features crunching guitar work and pounding drums, combining the styles and sounds of what Ghost have learned and mastered from their two releases thus far and making them well-known here. The live version of Secular Haze is aggressive and sounds more passionate than its’ studio counterpart; in fact, it may even top the original. The raw tones and energy that the band displays in this show are extremely enjoyable, and they display how Ghost can better their craft in a live environment with fans hanging on to each note played.

Ghost's collaboration with Dave Grohl of Nirvana and Foo Fighters happened when, before going to Nashville to record Infestissumam, the band had a bunch of covers demoed and were discussing if they should squeeze them onto the album we were at a festival in Europe and Foo Fighters was playing, and we knew that Dave was a fan

If You Have Ghosts" (originally by Roky Erickson). If you have ghosts, you have everything If you have ghosts, you have everything You can say anything you want And you can do anything you want to do If you have ghosts, you have everything. One never does that One never does that You can call it surprise, there it is And a part of it is me One never does that. In the night I am real In the night I am real The moon to the left is a part of my thoughts And a part of me is me Forever is the wind In the night I am real. Moody pop cover songs dressed in doom metal garb. Well executed, yet none of the songs are that appealing to me. These are the sort of songs that might appeal more to the goth crowd or some suicidal, depressed adolescent than an aging metal head like me. I will say that Papa Emeritus does sound rather good here, which leads me to wonder whether his mission is make metal heads own up to their suppressed love for Abba. Also, I suppose the title track and aptly chosen and somewhat enjoyable. I realize this one comes down to expectations and shattering illusions, but I still fail to be that impressed by this EP. I suppose you have to be a raving, drooling Ghost fan to really appreciate this one as anything more than a novelty.
