A Hundred Thousand Welcomes is an independent project by Brian Hurren and released on his own label 100 Thousand Records. n, it was recorded almost entirely in his home studio in Falkirk. A collection of 9 heartfelt, emotional and uplifting songs, it tracks his journey and love of music, announcing a fresh and strong new voice on the Scottish independent music scene. When I wrote and recorded Passing By, I knew I had to do an album. I see the world through music, and I communicate to the world through music, and the journey to A Hundred Thousand Welcomes had already started. In 2001 Brian finished his degree and was leaving college when his career took yet another turn. Runrig were looking for a new keyboard player.
