Sviatoslav Richter’s seven legendary 1960 Carnegie Hall recitals are not new to CD, but this is the first time they have been packaged together. - Recitals 1-5 and 7 were in Sviatoslav Richter - The Complete Album Collection (photo one), issued in 2015. That box also included seven additional RCA CDs, mostly studio recordings. - Recital 6 was in Great Moments At Carnegie Hall (photo two), issued in 2016. That was a mammoth 43 CD box with in-concert recordings by thirty musicians. Recital 6 was in Great Moments At Carnegie Hall (photo two), issued in 2016. Between October 15 and December 28, 1960, Sviatoslav Richter embarked on his first concert tour of the United States and Canada. Thirty concerts in 75 days - Fifteen cities. The highlight was his New York debut on October 19.
